Did you know that you can follow the work at the primate research station on YouTube?
Things are progressing at the Lund university primate research station Furuvik. Recently Naong the orangutan made his first attempts at a touchscreen. It went very well and hopefully we will soon be able to give him proper tasks. In this video he demonstrates his ability to learn new discriminations. This does not require an Einstein, but so far he needs to learn the basics of interacting with a touchscreen and understand that there are correct and incorrect responses to stimuli on it. Follow his development on the primate research pages and on YouTube.
